up for auction is A 1985 defender 110 200 tdi. made originally for the french market, this truck is A true left hand drive model, not A conversion. the body is A late 90 s and was re-shelled in england before being imported to the U.S. in dec. of 2010. this is A legal import with all documentation and correct paperwork including epa and certificate of permanent export. it currently has A clear michigan title in my name this defender has the bullet proof 200 tdi diesel, lt77 5 speed with A low 96K miles on it so you get great performance with great fuel economy. I just drove this truck on A trip from the east coast. it was 13 hours of straight driving and it performed excellent with out any issues, cruising hwy speeds of 75 mph. the body and frame are in great condition, just look at the photos. this truck starts first turn of the key and idels perfectly. it burns no oil and stays full between changes but it will leave A small spot after sitting for A while. the transmission shifts without issue up or down in any gear and downshifting to second from 4th or 5th is not A problem with no grinding or forcing. clutch works as it should without any slipping and correct pedal travel. timing belt has been changed 5K miles ago along with new tires and new power steering box and pump. although, in exceptional condition, this is truck is not perfect. I would replace the passenger lower door rubber and there is A small tear in the back of the rear seat. also, the head liner could use A cleaning. however, overall this is A super clean defender that I would not hesitate to drive anywhere at any distance without hesitation. this truck is loaded and last week I just installed new high performance springs, shocks and towers to all four corners to complete the package. here is A list of recently install upgrades and extras: new exmoor seats mudstuff center console mudstuff minipod integrated magellan navigation system mudstuff seat raiser tuffy center console with key pioneer cd/mp3 in console dual optima batteries dual assc. pods leather steering wheel terrafirma front winch bumper superwinch 9000lb winch with had remote terrafirma off road lights terrafirma rear tire carrier mantec snorkel procomp hd gas shocks terrafirma hd shock towers powder coated brit special hd springs bf goodrich mud terrain T/A tires aluminum wing vent P&P saftey roll cage bolted directly to frame nas rn tow hitch uk style towing harness with 4 flat adapter fully integrated anti theft system owners manual two full sets of keys professionally maintained and everything works as intended, clean carfax. comes with A full detailed appraisal for thousands over my reserve.
